Your Smile Artistry™ Dental Plan

A Smile Artistry™ Dental Plan will detail emergency, short-term and long-term health issues.  Initially there may be emergency or acute care to restore areas of decay, disease or discomfort. The Dental Plan will detail a full report on the health of your gums, the strength of your teeth, your bite and the appearance of your smile!  By detailing a long-term plan, you will be able to plan future dental costs and avoid more costly and painful dental emergencies.

A new patient to our practice first visits for an initial check-up or consultation where the Dentist will spend time discussing your areas of concern and then perform a full examination.

Your New Patient Check-up

A New Patient Check-up will involve taking Digital X-Rays of back and front teeth depending on which treatment may be required and the observed health of your mouth.  When you have areas of active decay, a computerised Bacteria Reading will be taken from inside your mouth, determining Decay Forming Bacteria. Dental Decay is a Bacterial Disease, and thus minimising these Bad Bacteria minimises the future risk of Decay.

The Hygiene Visit

The Hygiene Visit is an essential step for all patients, and particularly important when a Zoom™ Advanced Power Tooth Whitening procedure is to be performed during the treatment plan. Our Hygienists are trained to perform a very detailed clean of your teeth, and our patients frequently comment that they have never experienced such a detailed clean and how good it feels. The Hygienists can map and record existing gum health status, allow our Dentists to target the problem areas and track progress of these areas. 

Patients interested in Cosmetic Work are invited to make an appointment with a Dentist for a Cosmetic Consultation Appointment, where the Dentist will in detail discuss any Cosmetic Concerns the patient or Dentist may have and discuss treatments to correct their concerns.  A Smile Artistry™ Smile Plan will then be created.

A Smile Artistry™ Dental Plan for this patient identified weak teeth with old amalgam fillings, and the teeth were at un-neccessary risk of cracking.  The Dental Plan involved strengthening these teeth and removing cracks using Porcelain Crowns and Porcelain Inlays.
