Preventative Dentistry - Diagnodent Laser Decay Detection

The Diagnodent Laser Decay Detection aid removes the doubt of treatment decisions regarding hidden decay or questionable stained grooves in back teeth. The ability of the device to see into occlusal pits, grooves, and fissures on back teeth, allows our Dentists to treat sub-surface decay with total confidence.

By using laser fluorescence, the Diagnodent shines a laser wavebeam into the tooth, measuring levels of fluoroescence given off by decay and bacteria giving a scaled measurement and sound to indicate whether treatment is required or not.
