This busy businesswoman had old bonding on her teeth, with discolouration. After taking a full series of x-rays of her teeth, it was apparent that two of her teeth had vertical root fractures and were so broken down underneathe the gums that they needed removal. Because the long-term health of her teeth is important, it was recommended to replace the two bad teeth with Dental Implants.
First this lady had her lower teeth whitened with the Laserbrite™ Teeth Whitening System. The two teeth were then removed without trauma to the adjacent teeth or bone (without damaging the bone of gums) and Immediate Dental Implants were placed. Her teeth were prepared for Porcelain Crowns and temporary crowns and bridges placed over the implants until 16 weeks later when the implants were deemed osseo-integrated and ready for functional loading, ie. the final Porcelain Crowns to be made. Customised Gold abutments were used on these implants to give correct gum contours.
